Megan and I met many years ago through her work at the Eco-Institute.

What continues to make this mentor stand out? About what are they most enthusiastic?

Megan stands out as a pillar within a community. She is enthusiastic about being a facilitator of social change. She is focused on reconnecting people with authentic feeling and environmental awareness.

How has/does this mentor made/make a difference in your life and/or the community, locally and/or globally?

Megan works tirelessly to create a place where people can come together to create a new vision for the world that we live in. She is one of the founders of the Eco-Institute—an organization where people can learn about sustainable design, nature connection, community building principles, philosophy, and permaculture. The Eco-Institute is an expanding community of people who are dedicated to healing the human-earth relationship.

How does this mentor influence others to be the best version of themselves?

I always admire how Megan handles difficult experiences with grace. She models caring for people and she is amazing presence for people who are in need. She regularly supports people who are grieving over loss, addiction, or other challenging circumstances. As a nurturing presence in many people's lives, she brings positivity and balance to difficult conversations and she practices speaking with integrity and kindness.

How does this mentor exhibit humility in elevating others?

Megan often marvels out loud at other people's gifts, achievements, and good qualities. She does not self-aggrandize. She is very engaged with the people around her, often sharing stories that show her appreciation of who they are. Her ability to see people's good qualities is for everyone; older, younger, known and unknown. Megan is gracious and generous with appreciation for the people around her.
